she's growing into such a beautiful young lady and we couldn't be more proud of her! she is confident, sweet, funny and i'm in awe of how easily she makes friends. she's almost up to my shoulders now - measuring 57 1/2 inches. that's almost 5 feet!
she had a wonderful 3rd grade year - it was tough - and she worked her little tail off, making the honor roll 3 of 4 semesters. her teacher was a bit of an adjustment at first, but we are so pleased with the progress that marissa made. she's anxious for 4th grade and i'm praying the homework isn't as CRAZY. this summer marissa is competing on a swim team and having an absolute blast. she loves to swim and seems to be taking the direction from the coaches well. we've already seen a huge improvement. she'll keep that up through mid-july and then we'll enjoy the rest of the summer with no scheduled activities.
for her birthday tonight we took some friends to the movies and for pizza afterward. i loved that there wasn't a huge mess at my house to cleanup! she has sweet little friends and everyone had a great time.

speaking of face....she's wearing her old glasses thanks to the scooter spill...the new ones were being repaired.
