we piled into my minivan at noon on saturday. we only made it a hour before we had to stop so someone (ahem...krista) could go potty. in my kind motherly way i encouraged everyone to use the restrooms, and like good children they obeyed!
we arrived at our hotel and relaxed for a few minutes before getting our opera dresses on. thomas came up and met my friends and then joined us for a delish thai meal. it was SO GOOD. afterward we walked up to the performing arts center. thomas sang in a bach piece and his time on stage wasn't as long as i'd hoped - but he was amazing and his voice has such clearness. i absolutely love seeing him on stage and will do anything i can to go when he is in my neck of the woods.
after the opera we all walked to a pub and sat on the patio drinking water (with no ice...) and eating dessert. a couple of the other performers were at the same restaurant and one of them - james from yorkshire - joined us. we enjoyed his company and he seemed to enjoy being asked all kinds of obnoxious american questions about his life back home, his family and of course, the royal wedding.
the next morning we slept in - and by that i mean we SLEPT in - i got up at 9:20, it was so great! we went for brunch with my brother and james. then it was time to say goodbye. we dropped the guys off at the hotel and got on the road back home. we stopped at outlet malls on the way and spent a couple of hours shopping. it was a wonderful weekend and we want to do it again very soon!

i haven't actually been to your blog in a long time. i get your emails, but wow - i love the new look. and yes, you are a goofball and yes I LOVE YOU for it!
