happy birthday to me...

well, it's THAT day again...my birthday. i used to hate my birthdays. it's such a random time of the year and it usually falls to the wayside but i've grown to accept it and enjoy it. i still don't love the attention so much but i love having a night out with friends and my hubby. our night out will be on wednesday...dinner (thanks babs, mario, lisa and ryan!) and a movie...hopefully a total chick-flick.

my morning started out wonderfully - my kids brought me breakfast in bed! i keep forgetting that marissa is as old as she is. so in she came, with little brother right behind, carrying a tray with a bagel topped with my favorite cream cheese and a glass of OJ. i loved it!

but all good things must come to an end...i had a bout of morning sickness and didn't keep my breakfast down. but i loved the sentiment! my kids are so sweet.

we had a busy day at a local drive-thru-zoo and dinner out with philip at a new local tavern. the food was delicious and we hurried home to enjoy the traditional ice cream birthday cake with dan and adrienne. i loved having help with my candle (yeah i'm old enough to just have ONE of those) from my enthusiastic brood.

i also loved coming home to some beautiful flowers from mom and dad, an edible arrangement from my sister and her husband and LOTS of happy birthday wishes, phone calls and facebook love! thank you everyone!

I'm sorry you weren't feeling well, but so glad the rest of your day was great. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Isn't it great not to have to cook on your birthday?!

Happy Birthday girl! Phil should bite the bullet and take you to see the Proposal-i heard it is really good. I am so jealous of your drive thru zoo. Whenever my friend goes to one of those she covers her headlights in peanut butter-Yikes! Hope you had a great one and I am soo sorry to hear about the morning sickness.

I'm glad you had such a fun birthday. That's a cake to drool over! Cakes don't happen in my family unless I make them. Did you see your chick flick? Here's good wishes sent your way...*magical chimes*
