Time with Dad

Each month Mari gets a delivery from a book club that I've subscribed to. It's really educational - they send a hardcover book, a workbook of activities, a toy and a project that goes with the book. This month the book was "Hickory Dickory Dock" and the project was two puppets - a mouse and cat.

Mari and her dad worked very hard (as you can see Philip's concentration face!) and they had fun cutting out felt shapes and pasting on yarn whiskers. The whole time, she sang us songs that she made up as she went along. At one point she bumped her elbow on the counter and without missing a beat sang, "ouch I hurt my 'ehbow'." We had a good chuckle. She is a daddy's girl!
