in another life, he was a chimp

eli gave us another good scare a few weeks ago when he took a tumble off of one of our bar stools.  he is the biggest monkey - trying to climb anything and everything.  he didn't fall very far, but fell weird and it was just enough to break his little wrist.

it was the exact same type of fracture marissa had a few years ago - a buckle fracture - but he only had to wear the cast for three weeks, not six.  he's now cast free and still every bit of a monkey as before.

it wasn't the saw that made him so upset...when they started cutting the mesh underneath the cast, it was stuck to his arm and was clearly painful to remove.  but he was ok in a minute or two.

i have a feeling this won't be our last cast for this boy...
