in her mother’s shoes

i admit i wasn’t terribly sad when marissa hung up her tap & ballet shoes. while i firmly believe she could go on to be an amazing dancer, her heart wasn’t in it – at least for now. she loved volleyball in the fall and decided to take another crack at basketball this winter. i’ve been so pleased with her performance! where there once was a timid, tearful, reluctant dribbler - a confident, strong, athletic girl has emerged.

hallelujah! (cue angelic choir…)

don’t get me wrong, the dance recitals were fun but I would much rather cheer for my daughter on the sidelines of the basketball court.

Fun shots! I love her serious expression. You can tell she's totally into it! Enjoy the sidelines. =)
